Third European Space Weather Week

From 13th November until 17th November 2006, scientists from all over the world will gather in Brussels to discuss space weather. Developments in forecast methods, ionospheric issues, modelling, data analysis methods and scientific research will be on the menu for 5 days.

The conference will be held in the Royal Library of Belgium, one of the 10 federal scientific institutes under the umbrella of the Belgian Science Policy. The SIDC, part of the Royal Observatory of Belgium takes care of the local organisation. This is also a nice opportunity to put an exclamation point behind the 25th anniversary of the SIDC.

Scientists have the opportunity to discuss and exchange their knowledge on space weather and its applications. Brussels will be the decor of new colloborations between institutes and persons. Putting together our expertise, space weather can become a mature applied science with high commercial and technological relevance in which the whole society is involved.
