Solar UV index

Overall description
The solar UV index has practical consequences. At present, we have a network
of ground stations in place (see task A.1) that provides us with real-time
data, and we use these to provide a solar UV index service at
http://www.aeronomie.be/uv/.
Long Term Goal
Monitor UV index and produce warnings. We will exploit a web service offering near-real time solar UV measurements
and short-term prediction of the UV index locally for Belgium. There is a synergy with the
ozone and aerosol
project.
