What is Space Weather?

image space weather The Sun has the Earth in a literally and figurative grip. A tenuous space plasma forms the physical connection between the Sun and the Earth. The Sun embraces the Earth with its magnetic arms influencing our technological systems and our atmosphere. The science that tries to understand the influence of the Sun upon our planet is the space science. We watch the Sun by all means, from earth, from space. Through space weather predictions, we try to be one step ahead of the capricious Sun.
