Tuesday, Nov 29, 14:00-16:00

In the last couple of years, a number of e-Science infrastructures are under implementation aiming at offering production services to space weather e-Scientists with an increasing number of applications that require access to different kinds of computational resources and to data from the near-Earth space, the sun, the heliosphere and the space environments of other planets. Potential interoperability of these e-infrastructures will pave the way towards a sustainable Space Weather Infrastructure in Europe able to meet the requirements of a diverse end-user community. The aim of this session is to bring together the developers of these e-infrastructures. Presentations and discussion will be focused on interoperability and interoperation issues, on the e-science approach adopted by the different e-infrastructures and on possible mechanisms, tools and standards to be used to provide interoperability. Enhanced scientific scenario that can be achieved through interoperable e-infrastructures is also planned to be discussed
